The online registration system for Beer and Sweat is homebrewed software written by a homebrewer, and like most homebrewed software it may contain bugs, be confusing, or just plain irritating.  Your feedback will help us improve the site for other people trying to register this year as well and improve the site for future competitions.  If you run into ANY problems or have any comments regarding the site, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Known Issues

Confirmation email is mangled - There have been a few confirmation emails generated by the system that arrive in a mangled form.  We are currently investigating this issue.  If you are concerned about your entries, just log back into the site and double check the information by returning to the Register Here menu to view the summary of your registration.

Text is HUGE and JUMBLED - Unfortunately the registration forms use absolute positioning which sucks, but hey, I get paid in beer so if that's how the form builder works, that's what we get.  If you see huge text that overlaps and is pretty much unreadable on the registration screen, then chances are that your text size or zoom level is not optimal for the form.  In Internet Explorer, goto the "View" menu, click "Text Size" and make sure "Medium" is selected.  If you are running Firefox, goto the "View" menu, click "Text Size" and pick "Normal".

Online Registration as Easy As 1..2..3

The online registration process is the same for entering your beers as well as signing up to Judge/Steward.  If you run into trouble or have questions, email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it right away and we will try to help you out as best we can. 

Step 1 - Register at www.beerandsweat.org

In order to register for the Beer and Sweat competition you must be registered as a user on the beerandsweat.org website.  If you remember your registration information from last year you can skip to Step 2.  If you forgot your password, goto Step 2 and you can retrieve a password reminder.

• 1. Goto the Beer and Sweat home page at www.beerandsweat.org (click Bosmo, he will take you there)
• 2. On the left side of the page you will see a Login link.  Click it.
  
• 3. Click the "No account yet? Register" link on the Login page.
  
• 4. Enter the required information
• 5. After clicking "Send Registration", and email with an activation link will be sent to your email address.  Sending the activation link helps us reduce the number of false user registrations.  Trust me, it takes about an hour for fake Hungarian robots to start registering on your site.
• 6. Open your registration email and click the Activation Link
  
• 7. You should see an "Activation Complete!" message.  Congratulations, you are now a registered user of www.beerandsweat.org.

Step 2 - Login to www.beerandsweat.org

• 1. Goto the Beer and Sweat home page at www.beerandsweat.org (click Bosmo, he will take you there)
• 2. Enter your username and password in the Login Form on the right side of the page
• 3. Click Login
• 4. After successfully logging in, the Login Form should display a friendly greeting.

Step 3 - Register for Beer and Sweat

• 1. Click the Online Registration link located below Bosmo on the left side of the page.
• 2. You should see a jam packed form full of goodies. Your feedback on how much you liked or hated it will be greatly appreciated. There is a quick reminder of how to work the registration page, but we will cover it in more detail here. 3. Click the Edit button next to the Contact Info heading to enter your contact information. You MUST enter your contact information to register for Beer and Sweat.
• 3. Click the Edit button next to the Judge/Steward heading to register as a judge or steward for the event. This step is optional, but you need to do it now if you are also entering beers.
• 4. Click the Add Entry button next to the Entries heading to add an entry.
• 5. Select an existing entry and click Edit Entry or Delete Entry to edit or delete existing entries.
• NOTE: the entry summary only shows the category/subcategory and beer name on the registration summary page. To view entry details click the Edit Entry button.
• 6. When you are done adding entries and/or judge/steward information click the Submit Registration button. You MUST submit your registration when you are done. If you aren't quite ready to sumit you registration now, you can log into the site later and all your data will still be there.
• 7. Review your registration confirmation page. You MUST click the Confirm registration button to officially register your entries. Once you have confirmed your registration, your registration information will be locked. You can review your entries by logging into the Beer and Sweat website at anytime.
